This section will profile health concerns - from hypertension to diabetes to vegetarianism - with helpful facts on each subject, plus links to other health-oriented web sites.

Seventh-Day Adventists have always stressed the importance of good health, and positive dietary habits. Research has proven that our active healthful-living practices have resulted in Adventists being less likely than the general population to develop virtually any of the major diseases.

Exercise, fresh air, rest, and nutritious food choices are the backbone of our health-wise way of life - but we are also aware that with life will come various physical conditions and illnesses that can be devastating.

"I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." Genesis 1:29

Health issues in modern times are usually degenerative types of diseases that trace back to diet and lifestyle. The diet that God provided for Man consisted of grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables, offering the right nutritional ingredients to support optimum health; numerous scientific studies have substantiated that meatless diets are ideal for healthy living.

The Health Perspective pages are here only as a guide to more healthful lifestyles - let your physician or healthcare professional assist you in making the best decisions for your life!

"Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?"
